The Commercial Finance Association (CFA), is the international trade association dedicated to the asset-based lending and factoring industries. Founded in 1944, the CFA has nearly 300 member companies and 16 chapters located throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. CFA members include a diverse collection of lending institutions that range from international banks to independent entrepreneurial finance companies. CFA membership is by organization, not by individual. All employees of a member company can take advantage of CFA membership benefits.
The Turnaround Management Association is the only international non-profit association dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management. Its international headquarters is in Chicago. Established in 1988, TMA has more than 9,000 members in 47 chapters, including 32 in North America, and one each in Australia, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Southern Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the UK, with a chapter in formation in Romania.
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is the world’s largest association representing the accounting profession, with nearly 370,000 members in 128 countries. AICPA members represent many areas of practice, including business and industry, public practice, government, education and consulting; membership is also available to accounting students and CPA candidates. The AICPA sets ethical standards for the profession and U.S. auditing standards for audits of private companies, non-profit organizations, federal, state and local governments. It develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination.
